Srebric wins indoor air sciences award

University Park, PA—Jelena Srebric, assistant professor of architectural engineering, won the 2005 Yaglou Award from the International Academy of Indoor Air Sciences (IAIAS).
The IAIAS award recognizes promising young researchers in the indoor air sciences field. The Yaglou Award was established in 1999 and is awarded every three years to coincide with the group’s conference. Srebric is the award’s third recipient.
Srebric’s research focuses on the use of computational fluid dynamics as a design tool; simulations and measurements of indoor and outdoor environments; ventilation, indoor air quality, and building energy analysis; and sustainable building design.
She has been a member of the Penn State faculty since 2000. Srebric holds a B.Eng. and an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Belgrade and a Ph.D. in building technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
