Hybrid cars, solar-powered music to be featured at open house
September 29, 2005

Penn State's Center for Sustainability will hold a fall festival and open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at its location off Porter Road, University Park. The event is free to the public. The event will feature a hybrid car exhibit, solar-powered live music, a mini-farm olympics for children, workshops, tours, activities and pizza. Live music will be provided by the band The Daily Supplement. Richard Doyle, professor of English and director of the Department of English's Composition Program, will present "Sustainable Minds" at 3 p.m. Penn State's Center for Sustainability is located off Porter Road, south of Beaver Stadium and the baseball stadium construction site.
