The Colloquim on the Environment is a joint venture between PSIEE and the University's Finance and Business Environmental Stewardship Strategy. The Colloquium is held annually — usually in April . The event features in-depth presentations about Penn State's environmental initiatives, from both operational and academic units. The day's activities culminate with a nationally-known speaker discussing a current topic related to energy or the environment.

Mountain Institute Co-founder, Chairman, and Chief Scientist, is scheduled to be the keynote
speaker at the 2008 Colloquium on the Environment, which will be held at 5:00 p.m. on April 29th
in the HUB-Robeson Auditorium on the University Park Campus. The title of his talk is "Whole
System Thinking and Radical Energy Efficiency." This year's Colloquium is also supported
by the Center for Sustainability and Penn State Outreach. More

2006 Colloquium
William
McDonough, internationally renowned designer and leader in environmental design, was the keynote speaker for the
3rd Annual Colloquium on the Environment. The event was held on Monday April 24, 2006 in
the HUB-Robeson Auditorium.
2005 Colloquium
2005 was the second annual Colloquium on the Environment and featured Christine Todd Whitman as the keynote speaker. She presented "Shaping the Future: America's Environment Today."
2004 Colloquium
2004 was the inaugural year the Colloquium on the Environment. Keynote speaker Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gave the talk "Our Environmental Destiny."
