secondary research theme: resource use and management
The primary issue is efficient use of resources (biota, land, water, and minerals) while promoting
sustainable agricultural, forestry and aquatic ecosystems, and a high quality of life. The key
research topics seek to:
- Link management and research on a variety of spatial and temporal
scales;
- Create a science base that promotes and enables sustainable natural resource
use; and
- Develop a management and science base that allows integration across various
landscapes and seascapes.
